Airon.ai – next-generation AI infrastructure

Own the financial engine of one of the most ambitious AI infrastructure companies being built today.

Why Airon, why now

Every wave of AI capability rests on the infrastructure beneath it. Airon is building that foundational layer - the compute and capacity that the world's most demanding AI workloads run on. We are growing fast, selling into sophisticated international and US enterprise customers, and signing large, long-term commitments. What we need now is a financial leader to build the structure that carries that growth: the financing of our capacity build-out, the reporting and control that comes with scale, and the financial rigor that large, long-term commitments demand. This is a rare window. The market is being defined in real time, the capital decisions are large and consequential, and the person who steps in now will shape Airon's financial DNA from the ground up.

Who we are

A tight-knit, high-energy team where people care about what they build, help each other out and have fun along the way.

The role

As Chief Financial Officer, you will own Airon’s financial strategy, financing and reporting, while building and scaling the finance function, processes and control environment needed to support our growth. It is a genuine hybrid role, combining full ownership with hands-on, day-to-day execution.

You will not just set direction from a distance; you will be closely involved in the financial decisions that shape Airon’s growth –  from financing and capital allocation to forecasting, investments and major customer commitments. You will report to and partner closely with the CEO as the company’s go-to financial counterpart. You will also work directly with our owners, who bring deep experience in infrastructure financing, and play a central role in the leadership team.

What you'll do

  • Be the financial counterpart to the business, challenging assumptions and bringing financial perspective to the decisions and trade-offs made across the company.
  • Own financial strategy and planning, including budgets, forecasts, cash flow, unit economics and the path to profitable, scalable growth.
  • Scale the finance function alongside the business, establishing the processes, systems, controls and reporting cadence required for scale.
  • Lead the financing of our data center build-out and future funding, including debt, asset and equipment financing, together with owners, investors and banks.
  • Own board and investor reporting, including monthly financial reporting, quarterly board materials and the KPIs used to steer the business.
  • Act as the financial lead on large, complex customer contracts, including pricing, capacity agreements, commercial terms and risk.
  • Own the financial infrastructure required to scale, including audit, tax and compliance.

We believe you

  • Have 6+ years of experience in finance, ideally from a high-growth or scale-up environment.
  • Have experience scaling finance functions alongside a growing business, with a strong understanding of reporting, forecasting, cash flow and financial control.
  • Are experienced in financial modelling, capital allocation and financing, and comfortable working with investors, banks and owners.
  • Are a strong business partner across the organization, bringing financial perspective to commercial, operational and strategic decisions.
  • Are comfortable working hands-on and have experience from international environments.
  • Have experience building systems and processes from the ground up, with a strong ability to leverage AI to drive efficiency and improve decision-making.

Bonus points for

  • Experience from infrastructure, energy, real assets or other capital-intensive businesses.
  • A working understanding of legal and contractual matters, including commercial agreements and financing documentation.
  • Experience reporting to private equity or similar institutional investors.
  • Experience with capex, project controlling or large-scale investment projects.

Who you are

  • Analytical and commercially minded.
  • Low-ego and action-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Structured and pragmatic, with the ability to navigate complexity.
  • Communicative and trust-building, with a collaborative approach.
  • Ambitious and motivated by the opportunity to grow with the company.
  • Comfortable operating at pace in an environment where not everything is defined, with a drive to create structure and direction.

What's in it for you

A seat at the table of a category-defining company at the moment it scales. Real ownership of the financial side - not a piece of it, the whole of it. The chance to build the finance function, the structure and the playbook your own way, with the backing of the founders and owners with deep financing experience. If you've been waiting for the role where you can step up and the upside is genuinely in your hands - this is it.
