Founders
Founded by builders, not landlords.
Airon was founded by Robert Lidberg and Andreas Aronsson, two tech entrepreneurs with a background in software, infrastructure and machine learning. Back in 2019, they saw where AI was heading, that models would become larger, workloads more demanding and access to compute one of the defining bottlenecks in the next phase of technology. They also saw a gap in the market.
They saw that traditional data center development was often built around space, power and cooling. The customer still had to assemble much of the actual compute capacity themselves. At the same time, large cloud providers offered access to AI infrastructure through complex, shared and often opaque systems. Airon was built around a different idea.
The main product must be the capacity itself, the computing power. That’s why we control the whole compute vertical. We design, build, own and operate AI factories where electricity, cooling, hardware, networking and operations work together as one system. A system producing dedicated compute power directly for our customers.
From the very beginning, the ambition has been both practical and industrial – building compute capacity that works, make it easier to access, and create more value from Sweden’s natural advantages in the process. A true win-win.
